Summary: An Outstanding Comprehensive Reference
Comment: I am a pediatrician, not an internist or cardiologist, so this book is not of particular interest to me professionally. However, I am of an age where the cardiovascular system presents personal health issues for me and other family members. I am very satisfied with this latest edition as an in-depth reference.
When my late father, an electrical engineer, was diagnosed with congestive heart failure about 10 years ago, he bought an earlier edition of this book and read everything relevant to his condition. His cardiologist was impressed with is knowledge and had to deal with him as a knowledgeable and engaged patient who could converse and question.
