Summary: just what I was looking for
Comment: I needed this book for nursing school and for working on a med-surg floor. My only complaint is that the pages are thin and are starting to tear out of the spiral part with increased use of this book.

Summary: "Must have" for hospital pharmacists
Comment: This book is well organized and easy to use, and it has information that you can't find anywhere else. As a hospital pharmacist, I use it just about every day. It's great for looking up information on volume and type of diluent, and it's by far the most comprehensive reference I've found on recommended rates of administration--for some drugs it's the only place I've been able to find that info. It also contains some general information on the drug itself, indications, dose range, and what to expect and watch for during and after the infusion. I know this has been particularly helpful for nurses I've worked with when they're giving a new med or one they haven't seen very often.

Overall, this is one of the most frequently used quick-reference books in every hospital pharmacy I've worked in, and I make sure every student I precept is familiar with it. I think we'd be well served to have a copy at every nurses' station, too.
