Editorial Reviews for A Handbook of Routine Urinalysis
|
|
This practical handbook contains everything its user needs to know when performing routine urinalyses. Comprehensive in scope, the book discusses the formation of urine, its constituents and properties in both health and disease, the origin of these constituents, and the principles of urinalysis. Explanations of abnormal test results are provided together with several procedures that can be used as alternative or confirmatory tests.

Customer Rating: Summary: This is the best out there! Comment: This reference manual for Urinalysis is absolutely the best out there. I have recommended it be purchased by every clinical laboratory I have ever worked at. It has the answers you are looking for whether you are a student or an "old hand" in the lab. Now that I'm a laboratory manager of my own, it was the first reference text I acquired for my own lab. My kudos to Sister Laurine Graff, she should write more reference texts like this!
Customer Rating: Summary: UA Bible Comment: This is our "bible" of Urinalysis. We actually lost our laboratory copy that had been a part of our UA department for years!! So, our new one is a replacement.
We train a lot of bench technical staff- both new and very experienced staff refer to "Sister Laurine" regularly! She is like an old friend.
I highly recommend this for anyone who either needs a learning tool or just a freiendly reference.
Customer Rating: Summary: best urinalysis reference I've seen Comment: Far and away this is the favorite Urinalysis text in my laboratory. Not a day goes by where I don't see one of my staff using it. I had to order a new copy a few years ago because the first one had become so dog eared.
We have 3 other books, but this is the best of the group. It would be nice if it came out in a new edition, since this one's been out for 23 years. I highly recommend this book.
Customer Rating: Summary: very useful Comment: my professor recommended this book to the class. though this book refers to human urinalysis, it is helpful to us veterinary students. there is little differnce between animal and human urinalysis, and there are no veterinary urinalysis books on the market
Customer Rating: Summary: photographs are clear and helpful in my work. Comment: Iam a student of medical technology presently doing my clinical practicum at a local hospital. the first time i sam this book was by my instructor who uses it extensively as a reference book. It is also used at the hospital where i am doing my internship and is presently helping me as i explore the different variety of microscopic sediment and substence. The book is complete and offers additional reference illustrations the is esential in the diagnosing of urinary conditons.
