The work itself is simple. Take a sore back: By resting your aching back on the grapefruit-sized balls and letting your body sink into them, you're unworking the muscles that hurt. Petrone shows how proper breathing (which she demonstrates) works in conjunction with a range of unexercises that call for placing the balls under the back, head, knees, hip, elbow-wherever there's pain-and then resting, rolling, or rotating on them. She points out that relief can come in surprising ways: Lower back pain may be helped by placing the ball under your neck, or a bad knee might be helped by hip work. Summary: Miracle Ball is a miracle for back pain!
Comment: I have suffered lower back pain for 5 years. I have tried narcotics, muscle relaxers, heat, ice, physcial thereapy, chiropractors, but none compare to the relief that I experience with the miracle balls. My life has never been better. I feel like I am 10-20 years younger and I am so happy! I love them! The name, Miracle Ball speaks for itself. I have had lower back pain for 5 years and no amount of narcotic pain pills, physical therapy or heating pads compares to the relief I experience with the miracle balls. They work! Imagine, pain relief naturally. I think every doctor should certainly recommend them to their patients with lower back pain and even for knee pain, neck, etc., etc. YIPEE! I waited so long for relief and this one truely is a conqueror! Come on, for those of us who experience severe pain, due to a back injury-we need to double up on methods to relieve our aching backs and this one does the job.

Summary: Very helpful and effective
Comment: I have lower back pain from being a stomach-sleeper all my life. These little balls really have helped with the pain. And I like using them on other parts of my body just because it feels so good (they really help elicit the relaxation response). My only complaint is that I wish there was a DVD that came with them instead of a tedious little book. It can be hard to hold the book in one hand and read the instructions while trying to position the ball under you with the other.

Summary: These little balls did very little to help my pain.
Comment: I am disappointed with this product. Most of the exercises are basic stretches, which do not require the balls. The balls do feel good while using them, but do not provide relief beyond that. In fact, I'm not so sure that they don't make painful areas worse. The smell of the balls is horrendous. I have no idea why everyone has written so many good reviews. I've had several of my friends try them out also and they think that they're just a waste of time. I would certainly not purchase again.

Comment: I'm a massage therapist and this product helped me to take care of my patients (most of them have been through a car accident), with excellent results, when it is too painful to receive deep tissue massage. It has the advantage of targeting muscles and fascia (connective tissue) deep into the hips and thorax, so it helps me to give a very complete treatment. Just a note, I ordered some of the used method, to have one set at every office I worked at, and the books came without the miracle balls.
