Comment: I have found this book to be surprisingly thorough for a "handbook." It is easy to glean information from, which is a must for me in my busy practice as a PA.

Comment: I am currently working at a busy level 1 trauma center and constantly use this book for major aspects in orthopedic trauma management. The book is summarizes high yield point in adult and pediatric orthopedic traumatology in a concise yet complete manner.

Comment: Many important topics in this book are presented
not in a cutting edge manner and the stuff can
easily be found in all standard text;
Newest topics in trauma like minimal invasive
surgery, computer aided surgery, new AO thinking
that everyone doing trauma is talking about these days
not covered or grossly inadequate
I have 2 juniors who used to work with one of the authors,
they told me there is a great discrepancy between
what that author claims he would do in his
little text, as compared to his actual practice
in real life. I hope this is not the case, but
if it is, readers will not be pleased
