The Blueprints Series has been developed to enable the reader to review the core material in each discipline quickly and efficiently. The topics for each subject were chosen from an analysis of over 2000 representative review questions from the USMLE Steps 2 & 3. The book is not meant to be comprehensive, but rather a composition of the "high-yield" topics that consistently appear on these exams. The material in these books is presented either as a workup of a symptom or as a discussion of a particular disease or pathological process. This format has been chosen to compliment the style of questions on the USMLE Steps 2 & 3 which are now crafted into clinical vignettes. This unique series of books will be equally as useful to all medical students during their clerkships and sub-internships.

Summary: Great book for Rotation!!!
Comment: This book had everything I needed to feel like I was learning what was expected of me during the rotation as well as helping me get a great foundation as to base my studies for Step 2. I plan on looking back at this book while I get ready for Step 2 to brush up on the finer points. Overall a great book and worth the money spent!

Summary: excellent primary resource for 3rd year ob/gyn clerkship
Comment: I haven't been impressed with Blueprints for medicine or psychiatry, but for ob/gyn it's the single best review book. Pair up with Casefiles and a question book or question bank online and you will do very well on the shelf.

Comment: For 2nd year preview on OB, or a quick reference for third year, this is ok. However, it will not even come close to the depth of info on the NMBE shelf exam

Comment: This book is perfect for clinical rotations in OB/GYN. Although most blueprints are very helpful, this is my favorite out of the series because it gives you everything you need to know for your exams and clerkship, as well as helpful review questions in the end (like all blueprints). Very easy to read. I carried it with me throughout my rotation and excelled on the test.

Comment: I feel that this is the best currently available option for ObGyn clerkship. Easy read and sufficient for passing mock boards - good luck!
