One of our bestsellers, "Children with Disabilities" is a fully illustrated, comprehensive disability resource. It covers developmental, clinical, educational, family, and intervention issues for children. The first edition of this volume was published more than 25 years ago, and subsequent editions have steadily grown in comprehensiveness and complexity. The sixth edition updates existing content, and adds new chapters on prenatal and newborn screening, patterns in development, and movement disorders. It also recasts chapters on toxins, fetal infections, X-linked retardation, and psychiatric disorders, and adds a new appendix on cognitive testing and screening. It continues to feature chapter objectives, vignettes, a glossary, and extensive appendices about medications, resources, syndromes, and inborn errors of metabolism.
