Comment: This DVD is great for beginning Iyengar Yoga if one has scoliosis. It is beneficial specific to the needs of persons with scoliosis. Elise Browning-Miller is excellent!

Summary: Just another yoga dvd
Comment: I bought this thinking it would help me tailor the yoga program I already do to help my scoliosis. The information from the doctor and Elise about which way the curves in your spine go is very confusing and so I was unable to identify which person on the video I should follow in adapting my poses. There was only one pose on the dvd which I was not already doing in yoga. If you have never done yoga before this would probably be a good dvd to encourage you to do yoga for scoliosis. If you have socliosis and already do yoga, keep on doing it and don't bother buying this dvd thinking you will get something extra to help you.

Summary: Warning: Yoga for Scoliosis
Comment: I just want to insert a warning: Though the DVD title is "Yoga for Scoliosis", these exercises are for scoliosis sufferers who haven't had the spinal fusion surgery.
In other words, if you are like me and underwent the corrective surgery in your youth, the exercises in this DVD are not appropriate for you. I am still looking for a good set of yoga exercises to relieve my back pain, and if anyone knows of a "Yoga for Scoliosis, Post-Spinal Surgery" resource, I'd be grateful to know of it.
Beyond that, I'm sure this DVD is quite good for non-surgery-corrected scoliosis sufferers, but I do wish the title and/or product description had made that more clear. I also thought it was a bit deceptive (though maybe normal) that a whole list of "extras" was listed once the DVD started - some people can't afford yoga balls and yoga mats and yoga belts, and it seems wrong that that need isn't presented "up front" before dropping $30 on the video itself. Caveat emptor, I suppose.

Summary: Nice work out for scoliosis suffers.
Comment: The exercises of this dvd are very good and well-explained. However, I realized that I couldn't do all of them - at least at this point. Once I become more flexible, I may be able to do so.
Initially, I thought that the dvd was either blank - as other review had said - or that I had problems to play the dvd in my computer. A friend said that I should download a program called VLC media player, which is known for enabling computers to play basically everything. It really played it afterwards. In case you experience the same problem, this program is available for free - google it and download it!
Although I like to buy at amazon.com, this dvd was a bit expensive here. I bought it at www.deepdiscounts.com since it was cheaper and shipping was free.

Summary: Defective
Comment: I gave this DVD as a Christmas gift to a friend with scoliosis. When I later asked if she tried it, she confessed that she had, but the DVD was blank. This was months later - after the Amazon return policy was invalid and I had long since thrown away the shipping papers. So I would not recommend purchasing this product unless you can try it out immediately and be prepared to return it if defective.
