Summary: Electronic Stethoscope
Comment: This helped me hear a little better. Picks up a lot of other noise which interferes with what I am trying to hear. Ear peice came loose a couple months after I got it but was able to send it in to the company and was fixed right away and returned. Kind of unhandy to carry around or wear around neck. I find that I don't use it as much as I thought I would.

Comment: I also picked up my scope at a trade show (Pri-Med Boston). That was 5 years ago and I have not been without one since. (and bought a second one because going back to a standard scope is like putting on sunglasses at night.) I also had to send my early model in for servicing but have had good turnaround and communication with service. I've tried other scopes at twice the price and still think that Thinklabs has better sound. Highly recommended (with the money you save, buy a spare!)

Summary: I love this stethoscope!
Comment: I am a (middle aged) ER doc, and have trouble using a regular stethoscope in a noisy environment. I've tried the Phillips and other amplified scopes. I found that they amplify ambient noise and were expensive and no real help. Then a colleague showed me his Thinklabs scope, and I've used nothing else for 4 years. It is wonderful and easy to use. When I first folded it in thirds to fit in my lab coat, I fatigued and broke the internal wires. It was repaired quickly. I'm not sure what problems the other posters have had with Thinklabs, as they have always been VERY responsive to me. This amplified scope is less expensive than other brands, and much better. I check out other brands whenever they are available at conferences and so far nothing comes close!

Summary: Bought this at Pri-Med Trade Show
Comment: When I tried this scope at the trade show it worked fine. I ordered the scope and started to use it at my office and I was hearing radio stations through the stethescope while I was examining patients. I made multiple calls to ThinkLabs and could only leave a message on the answering machine. I finally got a human being and got authorization to return the scope. They had the scope for several weeks - I called to inquire about the refund and finally was refunded.

Comment: Did you ever get your stethoscope back or hear from the company? I'm very intrigued by this product, but if service is this bad it wouldn't be worth the risk.
