Small Sample Size:
FreeStyle diabetes test strips were designed to prevent sore fingers by requiring a tiny blood sample - the smallest in the world! With the Freestyle Test Strips you need only a 0.3 microliter blood sample. Even with this small of a sample FreeStyle ensures accurate test results that are virtually pain free. This is due to new, patented technology based on coulometric measurements.
Coulometry Measurement:
Coulometry is a unique electrochemical measurement technique exclusive to FreeStyle. Coulometric analysis is unaffected by reaction rates and is ideal for measuring a small blood sample size.
Alternate Site Testing:
You can also test from alternative sites, reducing the pain of repetitive testing of one site.
15 Second Test Results:
Accurate blood glucose results are available in merely 15 seconds.
Capillary Action:
The FreeStyle Test Strips use capillary action that acts like a sponge to wick the exact amount of blood needed onto the test strip. You have up to 60 seconds after the initial sample is taken to add more blood. The diabetes test strips work with the blood glucose meter, which will beep when there is enough of a blood sample for accurate test results.

Comment: The Freestyle Test Strips offered by Abbott here on Amazon are 50% of the price I pay at my greedy pharmacist. When I told the pharmacist about it he said,"That's less than I pay for them." I told him to start stocking up at Amazon. I dont believe him but let the greedy become the needy. There is a recession and everybody needs to cut back for the benefit of those of us who have lost our jobs. A fair price for a fair product is doing the right things for the right reasons. By the way, I still think that the price is way too high but it's a necessary evil.

Comment: I RECEIVED THE ORDERED FREESTYLE TEST STRIPS PROMPTLY; HOWEVER, 50 OF THE 100 STRIPS WERE DEFECTIVE. THEY WOULD NOT GIVE A READING OR DISPLAYED ERROR. DON'T KNOW WHY. THE MANUFACTURER DID REPLACE THEM THOUGH.

Comment: I ordered 2 packs of 100 Freestyle strips from this vendor. They arrived in a few days and I have no complaints with the customer service. However the boxes are labeled "Not for Retail Sale". The boxes are printed in just blue - no color. The price break was significant, even from what Wal-Mart charges. We have had problems with about 25% of the strips being defective.
I wonder if the strips are conterfeit or outdated merchandise. Why are they labeled "Not for Retail Sale"?
